We are looking for an experienced CAPEX accounting to support a leading Belgian telecom company. The assignment focuses on reducing the workload and optimizing processes within the CAPEX accounting team.The mission is structured around three key pillars:1. Workload AnalysisConduct a detailed analysis of the current workload, system usage, and key blockersMap out the full closing process: time spent per step, required inputs, and sourcesPerform shadowing, interviews, and process walkthroughs to understand operational flows2. Challenge Existing ProcessesCritically evaluate current ways of working: why tasks are performed, whether they are necessary, and how they can be improvedIdentify inefficiencies and explore opportunities for simplification and automation (mainly in SAP)Propose concrete improvement actions, including reallocation of tasks or process adjustments3. Design & Implement ImprovementsTranslate findings into tangible process changes and guide their implementationSupport the accounting team in adopting new procedures or toolsEnsure improvements are embedded in day-to-day operations for long-term impactProfile RequirementsSenior-level accounting expertise, with strong knowledge of CAPEX and fixed assetsSolid experience with SAP, especially in the context of Assets AccountingAnalytical mindset with a pragmatic, hands-on approachStrong communication skills and ability to challenge the status quo constructivelyProven experience in process optimization is a plusDutch, English & FrenchAssignment duration: 3 to 4 monthsStart date: As soon as possibleLocation: Hybrid – Brussels area
