As a member of the Telco Cloud team, you will deliver solutions to multiple tribes and teams to deliver their telco cloud foundation and standard services. As a service reliability engineer, your responsibility lies in ensuring the reliability and stability of our platforms. You do this by using automation, capacity and monitoring tools. You will also engage in performance engineering and contribute to the 5G big data lake & future AI operations. This team manages multiple customers, each with unique needs and deadlines, helping them adopt telco cloud services in their current projects.

Your tasks as a Junior Service Reliability Engineer
1. Collaborate with the team on defining and reviewing telco cloud strategies, designs and roadmaps
2. Participate in agile ceremonies for Telco Cloud SRE
3. Assist in the implementation of business projects
4. Identify and implement telco cloud reliability services
5. Deliver managed telco cloud services to application implementation teams
6. Perform CICD pipeline skeletons and integrate standard changes
7. Document and transfer required knowledge to other operational teams
8. Define and track processes, standards and best practices for optimal use of telco cloud infrastructure
9. Willing to work on-call within the Telco Cloud Service Reliability Engineering group
10. Resolve L2/L3 incidents and issues on the platform
11. Provide on-demand incident input to L2/L3 application teams
Our ideal Junior Service Reliability Engineer
You have 2-3 years of working experience with Virtualization and Kubernetes platform services. You can also demonstrate expertise in some of the following areas:
12. Supporting a virtualization platform with vCloud Director and/or NSX(-T) (VMWare)
13. Supporting a Kubernetes platform and running applications in a cloud-native setup (GDC-V)
14. CI/CD (GitLab CI) with automated QA, SAST, SCA and deploy stages
15. Experience in an agile environment and tooling (Jira, Confluence) or willingness to work Agile
16. Infra as Code and Configuration Mgmt (Terraform, GCP Config Sync, GitOps, Ansible,. ...)Knowledge of networks (VPC, Routing, Dedicated Interconnect, ALB, NLB, DNS, …)
17. Running containers (Docker, K8S, OpenShift, AKS, EKS, Helm, ...)
18. Python, Kopf, YAML, …
19. Monitoring (vROPS, Prometheus, ELK, ....)
20. Use of centralized authentication and federation (Kerberos, SAML, GCP Secrets)
21. Knowledge of Linux environments

23. Clear communication - You are an excellent communicator and problem solver. You also regularly consult with your engineering colleagues on improvements on the Telco Cloud platforms. You also interact regularly with the L1 offshore team and the L2 application teams.
24. Adaptability - You are willing to work on-call to provide platform support where needed and implement planned changes outside of office hours and work in an Agile environment.
25. Language - English is important, Dutch is a plus.
