We need the best minds and capability to help us on our journey to make more complex products, harnessing the power of smart manufacturing technologies including robotics, digital solutions and artificial intelligence to deliver for patients. /p h3Position Summary /h3 pThe Supply Director is accountable for managing a portfolio of suppliers / contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) and for growing the relationship and business as necessary based on GSK strategic objectives. This role will primarily ensure oversight of the supply base through Project Specialists, Project Managers, Supplier Relationship Managers and/or Senior Supplier Relationship Managers. Key responsibilities include establishing strategic goals and objectives for CMOs, ensuring alignment with GSK’s commercial and manufacturing strategies, and managing business, operations, quality and risk. The Supply Director creates internal and external governance while ensuring a strong business relationship with the CMO, supports integration of new commercial drug products into the portfolio with GSC Supply Chain and RD teams, and leads, guides and coaches direct reports to achieve business, operational and quality objectives. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liProvide leadership and oversight of CMO performance metrics: on‑time in full (OTIF) of supply, NPI delivery, quality performance, and management of GSK‑owned raw materials such as media and chromatography resin. /li liEstablish strategic goals and objectives for CMOs and PQTS teams; ensure the site’s business, operational and quality objectives are aligned with GSK’s commercial and manufacturing strategies. /li liManage day‑to‑day business, operations, quality relationships and communication between GSK and the CMOs. /li liProvide leadership, guidance and coaching to direct reports (N‑1) for achieving business, operational and quality objectives, plans, and performance goals. /li liManage performance and development of direct reports to achieve organizational and departmental goals and provide a productive work environment. /li liBe accountable for delivery of supply within PL. /li liBuild and follow up the operational budget to stay within limits for the assigned portfolio; leverage continuous improvement to achieve operational excellence. /li liDrive GSK culture into the team’s way of working; manage SRM/SCRM data to support proactive decision‑making for supply and demand changes. /li /ul h3Basic Qualification /h3 ul liBS Degree (or international equivalent) in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Biotechnology or Biologics related field, Engineering, Logistics, Finance or Quality. /li liMinimum of 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry with a strong GMP background. /li liMinimum of 5 years of experience leading direct or matrix teams. /li liMinimum of 2 years’ experience working with CMOs on supplier performance and relationship management across complex supply chains. /li liExperience in manufacture and supply operations within a production facility. /li liExperience implementing new product launches, integrating new business or business models, changing sources of supply and/or divesting products. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualification /h3 ul liCrisis Management and Business Continuity Planning. /li liUnderstanding of planning systems and learning agility. /li liGPS / Lean Sigma experience. /li liFinancial Acumen. /li liStrong interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement agility. /li liExperience driving improvements in supplier metrics / KPI. /li liAbility to lead cross‑functional teams to an aligned strategy. /li liUnderstanding of digital, data analytics (DDA) principles and emerging technology and applications. /li liPractical experience working with change management approaches on a range of people, projects and programs. /li liHighly effective at senior stakeholder engagement, negotiation and influence. /li liRefined ability to make decisions under pressure and time constraints. /li liCreative, conceptual thinker with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. /li /ul pBenefits: GSK offers a comprehensive benefits program to US employees.
