Accountant· To manage and undertake financial operations processes across the different aspects of a insurance closing, to produce accounts under Belgium GAAP, Solvency II, UK GAAP and IFRS bases as appropriate, ensuring compliance with appropriate regulations· Produce timely and appropriate data for the Actuarial departments the Actuarial Manager in data delivery.· To produce on a timely manner high quality information for Management as Third party stakeholders· Provide assistance to both internal and external auditors as and when required ensuring that audit points are implemented and embedded in a timely manner· Manage, and prepare where appropriate, the department documentation ensuring that processes are in line with current regulations, and manage and/or implement the change control process· Assist in maintaining an effective control environment, review the conformity and compliance of internal controls and advise on improvementsSpecialization - Coordination
· Lead the monthly technical accounting processes for both part 7 and the ongoing book including month for the assigned operations - ensuring that all balance sheet reconciliations are prepared in line with timetable, reviewing work prepared and resolving issues in a timely manner.· Support the statutory accounting manager with the coordination of the quarterly and annual closing
processes.· To support the Business Accounting Manager in the budget and forecast processes as required, including the production of accounting and cashflow projectionsSpecialization - Control· Support the Statutory Accountant Manager and Accountant - Data in defining the required control to ensure high quality output of the accounting figures.· Ensure that the necessary risks are identified and incidents are timely reported.· Driving process improvements, system development and increasing efficiencies in the way we work. Proactively engaging with wider team to deliver standardized, effective solutions across the team in line with the best practices.
