6-month Internship – Group Permanent Improvement Programmes

Overview
Eurofins is an international network of independent life sciences companies, providing analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries to make life and the environment safer, healthier and more sustainable. The Permanent Improvement Programmes (PIP) is the internal consulting team of the Eurofins Group, based in Brussels. The team’s primary mission is to define, govern and implement programmes to ensure harmonisation, standardisation and optimisation of Eurofins operations. This internship offers an entrepreneurial environment where you can contribute to global strategy and gain exposure to multiple movements within a fast-growing company.
Responsibilities
Define and support alignment and standardisation of key concepts and processes at Eurofins.
Define and develop standard laboratories and processes for specific applications.
Develop methodologies and standards in performance and cost management.
Projects / Examples
Conduct cost analyses to identify and correct low margin services – With financial and operation data from the laboratory, model P&L costs absorbed by each test to enable portfolio profitability analysis and targeted pricing adjustments.
Work on longer-term initiatives such as the global roll-out of new KPIs – Restructure cost and revenue accounting to identify cost-saving opportunities using internal benchmarks and standardised project work breakdown structures.
Productivity benchmarking – Gather and standardise operational data to benchmark productivity across laboratories and identify root causes of performance differences.
Qualifications
Compensation and start date – This internship is compensated. Start date: March or April 2026. Duration: 6 months.
Education – Final-year student in a master’s degree in science, engineering or business in a top university/business school with an excellent academic track record.
Languages – Excellent English oral and written skills. Additional language is a plus.
Soft skills – Strong problem-solver with a can-do attitude; able to pragmatically define solutions and capture necessary details.
Technical knowledge (IT) – Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced knowledge of SQL and Power BI is a plus.
