Key Responsibilities
Guest‑Centric Leadership
* Champion a culture that puts guests at the heart of every decision.
* Use insight and data to shape unforgettable visitor experiences and marketing strategies.
* Act as a proud Brand Ambassador for SEA LIFE and Merlin, internally and externally.
Business Strategy and Growth
* Drive attraction performance through a clear volume and revenue strategy.
* Take ownership of P&L management, ensuring sustainable growth and strong commercial results.
* Deliver on EBITDA, cost control, and long‑term planning objectives.
Operational Excellence
* Ensure smooth, efficient, and safe daily operations across all departments.
* Lead teams to exceed guest satisfaction targets and deliver operational brilliance.
* Embed strong HR and talent‑management practices, building a diverse and inclusive culture.
Safety and Well‑Being
* Maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety for guests, staff, and animals.
* Promote a proactive culture of well‑being, openness, and responsibility.
Innovation and Partnerships
* Embrace innovation—continuously improving and adapting to changing markets.
* Build and nurture external relationships with local tourism partners, conservation bodies, the North Seal volunteering team, veterinary bodies, and community organisations to strengthen SEA LIFE Blankenberge’s local impact.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven success in a General Manager or Senior Leadership role, ideally within the leisure, tourism, or visitor‑attraction industry.
* Strong P&L management experience and a sharp commercial mindset.
* A genuine passion for people leadership, fostering growth and engagement across diverse teams.
* Demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships and drive business growth.
* Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organisational skills.
* Flexible, energetic, and adaptable—thriving in a fast‑paced environment.
* A love for marine life and sustainability—embodying SEA LIFE’s conservation mission.
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing, or related field (desirable).
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
* Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel locally and occasionally within Europe.
