The R&D Engineer is responsible for the mechanical development of feasibility process modules up to the first prototypes of new equipment and solutions according the client's roadmap.
You are very competent in all mechanical matters, especially excellent mechanical design and high level engineering skills, have an analytical attitude, are creative, solution orientated and accurate. Open for continuous improvement/learning and good team-spirit are required.
Tasks/Responsibilities
- Define & propose concepts for mechanical prototypes/test-units to proof feasibility processes according functional requirements.
- Translates process concepts into working process unit/modules.
- Study the agronomics for operators and service people.
- 3D modelling of new equipment.
- Contact suppliers, order with supply chain and follow-up of parts used in prototypes and equipment.
- Support assembly of prototypes, equipment and testing.
- Elaborate on improvements of existing equipment. Communicates improvements within the mechanical engineering team.
- Consults and reports the progress to the R&D manager on the necessary actions to achieve all deliverables.
Profile / Requirements :
- You have a MSc. in Electromechanical engineering or equivalent through experience.
- Gained around 5 years' experience in development and design of high-quality equipment with challenging process requirements.
- Excellent knowledge of machine construction and process related aspects. Knowledge of Creo.
- Creative, quality driven and passionate about equipment design. You have a strong developed conceptual approach.
- You are fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
- You have strong safety awareness and show good environmental discipline on a day-to-day base.
