Freelance Network and Security Engineer- Long term- Transformational project
đź“Ť Brussels, Belgium | Hybrid (2 days onsite / 3 remote)
This role gives you the opportunity to work within a hybrid multi-cloud environment (AWS and Azure). You’ll be working directly on large-scale hybrid connectivity and security, gaining exposure to modern enterprise networking while helping keep critical infrastructure stable and secure.
What you’ll gain
* Hands-on hybrid cloud experience by working on connectivity between on-premise infrastructure and Amazon Web Services / Microsoft Azure
* Advanced troubleshooting experience by taking ownership of L3 escalations in a complex enterprise environment
* Broader network security expertise working with Palo Alto, Fortigate, and Juniper firewalls
* Leadership opportunities through mentoring junior engineers and helping shape team standards
* Exposure to major connectivity providers such as Megaport and Equinix
You’ll work hands-on with:
* Cisco Catalyst routing & switching
* Enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortigate, Juniper)
* F5 BIG-IP
* Cisco Unified Communications Manager
What you bring
* 8+ years of experience in network engineering
* Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst switches/routers
* Proven experience with Palo Alto and/or Fortigate firewalls
* Experience with F5 BIG-IP
* Background working in hybrid cloud-connected environments
