1. You ensure adequate compliance with housekeeping regulations.
2. You are jointly responsible for the practical organization of the reception center.
3. You are responsible for the psychosocial counseling of the residents (both individual and family counseling).
4. You organize activities for the residents (such as language lessons, sports, etc.).
5. Each supervisor is involved in a specific sub-task. You are responsible for the follow-up of the medical part of the operation: You select/recognize complaints from residents and refer if necessary. You attend consultations (in collaboration with the center physician) and follow up. Manning the medical secretariat: scheduling appointments, inventorying pharmacy and medical supplies, setting up registration systems, checking medical invoices, fol-lowing up files, following up on admissions, etc. You carry out minor care and medical treatments (first aid). You follow up cooperation with: CLBs of the schools, K&G, V.R.G.T., general practi-tioners, Tropical Institute, ... and develops these. You follow up and develop the prevention component. You develop a training component around specific medical cases.
Jouw profiel
6. You have a degree in nursing (bachelor).
7. You speak and understand English fluently (= the working language in the center). Any other languages are an asset.
8. You have experience working with people from different cultural backgrounds.
9. Ideally, you already have several years of experience in psychosocial counseling of people in vulnerable situations (e.g. as an educator, social worker, counselor, etc.).
10. You are entrepreneurial and actively roll up your sleeves from the start.
11. You are willing to work in a shift system with weekend shifts and are flexible.
12. You are fluent in several languages (Dutch, English, French, etc.).
13. You work fluently and efficiently with different applications within MS Office (including Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint). At the same time you have experience with electronic follow-up of resident files. Knowledge and/or experience with SharePoint is a plus.
14. You are an organizational talent and administratively accurate.
15. You are empathetic and diplomatic, but can also set clear boundaries.
Ons aanbod
16. Full-time position (38h/week);
17. Shift performance (early, day and late shifts + weekend shift (1 weekend out of 3));
18. Employment in an emergency reception center: duration depends on government assignment in the context of organizing emergency shelter for applicants for international protection;
19. Salary according to bar scale 232 in PC 319.00. Here we include the total number of years of relevant medical work experience, the remaining years of non-medical work experience we take half. You can find the bar scale list on. Click on 'Barema's opvangcentra';
20. Meal vouchers of 8 Euro per day;
21. Group insurance and possibility of joining hospitalisation insurance with personal contribution
22. Commuting by train is fully reimbursed; 75% contribution for use of other public transport (bus, tram, metro, etc.); bicycle allowance of 0.36€/km; other means of transport (car, motorcycle, etc.) is in line with sectoral and legal regulations.
