We are looking for a Spare Parts Manager to play a key role in supporting our growing team of mechanics. At Upway, our mechanics refurbish up to 200 different brands of used e-bikes, ensuring customers receive high-quality bikes from an extensive and diverse selection.
As Spare Parts Manager, you will be responsible for managing the full spare parts supply chain—from procurement and inventory management to distribution and stock optimization. You will ensure that our mechanics have the right parts at the right time, minimizing downtime and maximizing the quality and speed of bike refurbishment.
You will work from a well-equipped facility with a high-energy environment—surrounded by thousands of e-bikes and a culture of excellence. Your role is critical in ensuring that Upway delivers refurbished bikes of the highest quality to our customers every day.
Your key responsibilities will include
* Overseeing the sourcing and procurement of spare parts for 200+ e-bike brands, balancing quality, availability, and cost.
* Maintaining and optimizing inventory levels to ensure parts are always available without overstocking.
* Coordinating closely with the mechanics team to anticipate demand, plan for repairs, and resolve any bottlenecks in the refurbishment process.
* Establishing strong relationships with suppliers and negotiating contracts to ensure reliable and cost-effective supply.
* Implementing and improving spare parts tracking systems and processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Skills required
* Proven experience in inventory management, procurement, or spare parts management—ideally in bicycles, e-bikes, or a related mechanical/technical field.
* Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure timely availability of parts.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with mechanics, suppliers, and other internal teams.
* Attention to detail and commitment to quality—ensuring only the right parts are used for each bike.
* Passion for bikes and e-mobility is highly desirable.
* Languages: English and Dutch or French
* Experience with inventory management software or ERP systems is a plus.
