AML Industry Affairs Adviser

The Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) represents the Luxembourg asset management and investment fund community. Established in 1988, the Association today represents over 1,400 Luxembourg-domiciled investment funds, asset management companies, and a diverse range of businesses serving the sector.
We are a committed and dynamic team of over 40 people with a great team spirit and the open position represents a great opportunity to contribute to adding value to Alfi’s members and to the development of the Luxembourg asset management industry.
To strengthen our Industry Affairs Team, we wish to hire an experienced Adviser, full-time permanent contract.
Key responsibilities:
* Act as the main subject matter expert and point of contact for major regulatory and compliance-related topics for ALFI, with a particular focus on AML/CTF as well as broader asset management and fund industry topics (including private assets where relevant);
* Analyse documents issued by national, European and international bodies and prepare ALFI positions;
* Monitor and analyse new initiatives, market intelligence and market trends;
* Participate in and coordinate the work of the specific technical committees of the Association which includes the definition of clear deliverables for each technical committee and monitoring progress against these;
* Assist in preparing ALFI’s newsletters, brochures, best practises, guidelines, press articles, website (etc.) in collaboration with technical committees and the Association’s communication department;
* Contribute to ALFI events, provide presentations and speeches and promote the Luxembourg fund industry in general;
* Represent ALFI in national and international associations, working groups and forums.
Qualification:
* Education: University degree in law, finance, economics, or any equivalent
* At least 5 years of professional experience in the investment fund industry (experience in private assets is an advantage).
* Proven expertise in AML/CTF and regulatory compliance, ideally applied in the context of investment funds.
* Sound knowledge of operational, legal and regulatory aspects of investment funds

* Fluent in English, and French and/or German being an advantage.
