We are currently looking for a Deviations Management Expert to support one of our pharmaceutical partners located near Brussels. This role is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional eager to drive continuous improvement and strengthen deviation governance within a highly regulated environment.
Your Responsibilities
As a Deviations Management Expert, you will play a key role in ensuring robust deviation governance and enhancing process performance. Your main responsibilities include:
Deviation Process Governance & Performance
* Oversee and continuously improve the site's deviation management process (from A to Z)
* Monitor key performance indicators to reduce overdue deviations and improve closure timelines
* Strengthen the overall quality of deviation reports, including investigations, root cause analysis and CAPA robustness
* Identify recurring deviations and drive initiatives to minimize reoccurrence and human‐error‐related causes
Operational Quality Leadership
* Facilitate daily triage meetings to ensure proper deviation classification and efficient investigation launch
* Lead or participate in boards/committees dedicated to deviation trends, CAPA review, and continuous improvement
* Review and approve deviations of various criticality levels, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory expectations
* Provide coaching and guidance to investigators to help elevate investigation quality and consistency
Cross‐Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with different internal teams to gather facts, support investigations, and align on process improvements
* Ensure strong communication flows with internal quality stakeholders, fostering a culture of transparency and right‐first‐time execution.
Your Profile
To thrive in this role, you bring:
* A Master's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Pharmacy, or an equivalent field
* Proven experience in deviation management, quality assurance, or investigations within the pharmaceutical industry
* Strong analytical mindset and excellent ability to drive Root Cause Analysis and CAPA processes
* Solid organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to coach and challenge stakeholders constructively
* Working knowledge of aseptic or controlled environments is a plus
* Fluency in both English and French.
