Your Tasks
As a Category Manager SDA (Small Domestic Appliances, location Rotterdam-NED or Strombeek-BEL), you will play a critical role in optimizing our SDA procurement strategy, ensuring we leverage the best technologies while maintaining cost efficiency and strong vendor relationships. You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end category management of SDA-related products and solutions. Your expertise will guide decision-making processes, drive contract negotiations, and support our digital transformation. Your key responsibilities are to:
1. Develop and execute SDA procurement strategies that align with the company’s goals and roadmap of the suppliers.
2. Manage the SDA category like Coffee, Cleaning and/or Kitchen categories
3. Conduct market research and benchmarking to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and innovations.
4. Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management to ensure optimal value, quality, and risk mitigation.
5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as finance, legal, online and our stores to understand business needs and align procurement strategies.
6. Monitor vendor performance, ensuring compliance with contract terms.
7. Analyze spend data and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement within the SDA category based on Customer Journeys.
8. Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, fostering strategic partnerships and ensuring continuous alignment with business needs.
9. Develop and maintain promotion and pricing strategy; to guarantee best offers for our customers.
Your Profile
10. Bachelor’s or Master degree in Marketing or Business Management
11. 3+ years of experience in category management or procurement
12. Proven experience in negotiating complex contracts and managing supplier relationships.
13. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, forecast trends, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
14. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
15. Problem-Solving mindset to come up with innovative solutions that satisfy all parties
16. Goal-Oriented Mindset keeping the ultimate goal in mind.
