We are instructed by the head of the Corporate & Commercial practice in the Brussels office of a leading international law firm, to help with the strategic hire of a senior Commercial Lawyer.
They are seeking to appoint an experienced senior-level transactional Commercial Lawyer looking to take the next step in their career development at an international law firm, at counsel or Junior Partner level.
The nature of the work and client base requires the role holder to be Belgian qualified, and fluent in both French and English.
You will be well-versed in the negotiation and drafting of a broad range of commercial agreements relating to business operations and transactions in the Belgian market and internationally. This will likely include:
1. Joint Ventures
2. Procurement and Outsourcing
3. Supply and Distribution
4. Franchising Agreements
5. e-Commerce
Beyond these core competencies the firm are seeking a Lawyer who is creative, entrepreneurial and business focused, and someone who embraces innovation and builds commercial, value-added partnerships with their clients.
The firm’s client base covers a wide spectrum of industries but experience within the Life Sciences, Food, Chemicals and Technology, and Infrastructure sectors would be an advantage.
You will be an experienced and upwardly mobile commercial Lawyer looking to take the next step in your career. You will likely be a Senior Associate, Counsel or Junior Partner with an aptitude for business development.
