About the company
At T-Mining, we are building Secure Container Release (SCR), a critical component of a modern harbour's container release process. Our solution is used by major carriers, shippers and their intermediary parties such as freight forwarders, transporters, etc. Currently we are active in 20+ countries, with +8000 connected companies and are processing over 1.5M container releases every year.
About the role
T-Mining's Secure Container Release (SCR) is evolving fast. What began as a secure container release solution is evolving into an orchestration platform connecting carriers, terminals, forwarders and transport companies. That evolution brings two kinds of product work.
On one side, we're developing major product extensions that expand the platform, new capabilities and deeper integrations with other solution providers. These concepts are visually outlined but not yet fully specified, and need someone who can make them complete, translate them into clear functional specifications, and guide implementation from start to finish. On the other hand, we continuously improve the product through short-term enhancements driven by customer requests, security fixes, and operational improvements that keep it reliable and responsive.
We're looking for a hands-on Product Owner who brings structure, clarity, and focus across both. You critically question concepts from a user perspective before translating them into specs, and you ensure that teams can execute with minimal ambiguity and high quality, whether that's a major product extension or a small but important fix.
You work closely with the Head of Product, who defines vision and priorities, and with the development team in the daily scrum. You work closely with a senior engineering counterpart to align on solutions and ensure that what gets built is both functionally sound and technically robust.
Key responsibilities
1. Drive execution of key product extension
Ensure product work for SCR product extensions is clearly defined, fully specified, and ready for development before development starts:
* Map current workflows, business rules, and edge cases, and design “to-be” processes within a defined scope
* Translate defined product directions into clear, structured functional solutions
* Refine and validate with users and partners where needed
* Define MVP scope, acceptance criteria, and success metrics together with engineering, design, and commercial teams
* Break down solutions into clear, structured tickets and documentation ready for development
* Ensure all work meets a clear “ready for development” standard
2. Collaborate with software engineering on solution design
Work closely with senior software engineers to shape how solutions are built:
* Align on technical feasibility, architecture, and trade-offs
* Challenge and refine solutions together to ensure they are both functional and scalable
* Act as the bridge between product and engineering to ensure shared understanding before development starts
3. Drive clear and predictable delivery
Ensure development progresses with clarity, focus, and the right priorities:
* Be an active member of the Scrum team, participate in sprint planning, review, and retrospective
* Maintain clear and structured tickets and requirements throughout delivery
* Facilitate refinement and alignment moments with engineering
* Keep visibility on what is being built and why
* Own the short-term roadmap across product extensions, client requests, security fixes, and improvements
* Track progress against the roadmap, identify delays or risks, and proactively adjust priorities where needed
* Make clear prioritization decisions and trade-offs between long-term value and short-term urgency
* Improve how work moves from idea to delivery through better scoping, documentation, and clarity
4. Ensure adoption and measurable impact
Ensure new features are successfully rolled out and deliver real value:
* Coordinate pilots and go-lives with stakeholders
* Measure results against defined success metrics and expected outcomes
* Translate learnings into concrete next steps such as improvements, scaling, or follow-up actions
* Collaborate closely with the Growth Marketeer, who co-drives communication and follow-up for new features and pilots, ensuring consistent messaging and effective user adoption
5. Drive product adoption and user feedback
Ensure the platform is well adopted and continuously improve based on real usage:
* Monitor adoption of new features and follow up where usage lags behind expectations
* Gather user feedback on live features and translate this into concrete improvements
* Work closely with the data expert to track key KPIs and understand performance trends
Qualification
* 4–8 years of experience in in product ownership, functional analysis, or similar roles, with a strong track record in translating complex product requirements into clear, implementable solutions
* Experience defining detailed functional behavior, edge cases, and acceptance criteria
* Comfortable in breaking down product work into clear, structured tickets that are ready for design & development
* Experienced in working closely with software developers on a daily basis
* Experience balancing larger product developments with short-term improvements and making pragmatic prioritization decisions
* Technically fluent, able to discuss APIs, integrations, and data flows, and work closely with senior engineers on solution design
* Strong communicator who aligns product and engineering around concrete solutions, not abstract discussions
* Based in Belgium, and open to a hybrid job in Antwerp (in-office min. 2-3 days per week).
* Experience in logistics, maritime, or supply-chain is a big plus
