What You'll Do:
1. Ensure ethical sourcing practices, identify and evaluate global sourcing opportunities, and implement new strategies and processes for CAPEX purchases.
2. Challenge specifications and offers, manage the tendering and contract processes, and handle negotiations with a focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and minimize investment risks.
3. Develop and manage our supplier panel, drive supplier quality improvement, and apply world-class sourcing processes, including supplier evaluation, selection, performance reporting, and price inflation management.
4. Travel to suppliers and ETEX sites to support these activities.
5. Act as the interface between the Purchasing, Operations, and Engineering communities, developing productive relationships and ensuring effective communication with central, regional, and plant management regarding sourcing strategies and market evolutions.
What You'll Bring:
6. A degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management are highly desirable.
7. Extensive experience in category management, specifically within CAPEX purchasing, with a proven track record of managing significant budgets and delivering cost savings, ideally within a multi-cultural environment.
8. The ability to develop and implement strategic purchasing initiatives, with a focus on long-term value creation and risk mitigation.
9. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including team management and the ability to influence and drive change across diverse and cross-functional teams.
10. Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing complex tendering processes, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
11. Familiarity with sourcing tools and methodologies, as well as an understanding of engineering and operational requirements related to CAPEX purchases.
12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate offers, challenge specifications, and make data-driven decisions.
13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive relationships and liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including management, manufacturing, engineering, finance, and HR.
