Work you'll do
Take up both Government and Commercial projects;
Assist the Project Manager in working out the technical design and system architecture of our solutions;
Responsible for system development, application support, and enhancement projects on both web-based and client/server platforms;
Participate in all phases of projects including user requirement collection, system analysis and design, programming, testing, implementation, system nurturing, and maintenance support;
Prepare system test plans, conduct integrated testing, and UAT;
Support the Project Manager to liaise with users on project issues and resolve conflicts between project team members;
Provide technical guidance and monitor the performance of subordinates;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements;
Develop and maintain documentation for software solutions, including technical specifications, user manuals, and training materials;
Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in Java development and apply them to enhance project outcomes.
We are looking for someone with
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years post-qualification IT experience, including at least 2 years in the role of Systems Analyst.
2+ years of experience in Government projects. Experience in effective systems analysis and design is preferred.
Hands-on project implementation experience in one or more of the following technology streams:
Java, JSP, J2EE, JBoss/Wildfly/Websphere, Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL/MariaDB
Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration, DevOps, Jenkins, Maven implementation experience preferred
Docker/Container and Cloud Native Application development experience on MS Azure and AWS Cloud platform
Below professional qualifications are preferred but not essential:
Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA)
IT Service Management - Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation Certificate
Oracle Certified Java Programmer (OCPJP)
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
AWS Certified Developer – Associate
