Procurement Category Manager position located in Ham Limburg. This function is a global support function with a direct reporting relationship to the Procurement Director in Ham. The Category Mgr is responsible for Category Management, Strategic Sourcing & negotiation, contract management, risk management of all TKI assigned commodities,.
Key Accountabilities
Responsible for strategy development, supplier relationship management, savings and continuous improvement of indicated categories Make recommendations to leadership from a customer standpoint, by aggregating the voice of the internal customer. This position requires in depth stakeholder management, as well as engaging with site management Additionally, significant supplier management will be required.
Commodity Strategy Development:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand the key value objectives of assigned commodity. Organize commodity team meetings to develop balanced commodity strategies aligned with the needs of customers Conduct research on supplier market dynamics, cost drivers, supplier business models, total cost of ownership models and historical spend to enhance future negotiations. Ensure this information is maintained and shared throughout the organization Manage and source the total spend for the assigned commodities
Procurement and RFQ Management:
Translate technical requirements into functional specifications and send quotation requests for assigned commodities Analyze offers and prepare award documents Serve as the Topical expert for assigned categories
Contract Management:
Launch and monitor the implementation of awarded contracts in collaboration with the legal department. Negotiate prices, modalities, conditions, and contracts for assigned commodities. Ensure competitiveness and equality of contracts with suppliers and service providers. Implement KPI’s and SLA’s
Supplier Management:
Source and identify service providers. Stay updated on the latest market trends. Organize and lead follow-up meetings with suppliers.
Education and experience:
Master or equivalent through experience 5 years relevant professional experience Demonstrate knowledge/affinity with the assigned commodities
