NAM has sales units across the globe that are supported by three hubs in Copenhagen (headquarters), Luxembourg and Lisbon. For our Benelux office in Brussels, we are currently looking for an Associate Sales Manager Belgium to support and grow the local commercial activities. Our Benelux team of 5 services professional and institutional investors such as retail and private banks, wealth managers, insurance companies and pension funds. The team holds a leading position in the market of investment insurance contracts with a strong local presence across insurance brokers and financial advisors.

This entry-level role is a jumpstart for a specialized sales career in investment management and provides an excellent opportunity to discover the functioning of the asset management industry. The successful candidate will join a relatively young dynamic team under the supervision and active support of the senior sales managers.

We run the Benelux sales desk as a local boutique of a recognized brand: we aim to offer our clients heartfelt professional service, we are passionate and knowledgeable about the products in our shop and we have the local flexibility to be entrepreneurial and creative while relying on the resources of a large group. We proudly find ourselves consistently ranked in the top 3 of the sector's Benelux account management ranking.

What you'll be doing:

1. Support the client mapping, lead generation and market penetration activities for the segment of insurance brokers and independent financial advisors (IFAs)
2. Actively maintain, visit and develop an existing portfolio of insurance brokers and IFAs
3. Participate to local fairs, industry events and client activities as brand ambassador and product educator
4. Support the execution of product campaigns and sales and retention efforts through the organization and follow-up of client roadshows, local events and mailings
5. Act as overall commercial support for the senior sales managers across client segments by preparing relevant marketing materials and presentations and ensuring effective service delivery and proactive client communication
6. Own incoming client queries and provide timely and high quality responses while collaborating with different internal teams (product management, legal, compliance, finance, reporting) to solve more complex requests
7. Assist the client relationship manager with the management of the operational client journey in line with agreed service needs and internal procedures
8. Participate to regular product trainings and attend the triannual international sales meetings to continuously update market and product knowledge
9. Ensure accuracy of client information in the CRM system and support with reporting and market research
10. Support with adhoc translation requests

Who you are

11. You are fluent in French and English, additional fluency in Dutch is an asset
12. You have obtained or will soon obtain a master degree in economics or a related field
13. You are fascinated by and passionate about financial markets and the macroeconomic environment and you have a basic understanding of financial terminology and products
14. A first experience (<2 years) in a commercial unit and/or in the financial sector is an asset but not a prerequisite
15. You have a positive entrepreneurial can-do mindset and you are not afraid to connect
16. You are naturally curious and eager to continuously learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
17. You have a strong team spirit and you are ready to work in a small local team and to liaise with colleagues across a global organization
18. You are easy going, you feel energized by personal relationships and you strive for commercial excellence
19. You would love to juggle your toolbox and build enthusiasm across teams to construct innovative client ideas and challenge the status quo
20. You would feel at ease to learn to speak for an audience and you have an affinity for commercial story telling
21. You are accurate and organized with the ability to manage priorities and assigned responsibilities
