Solution IT Architect - (ERP & MES Transformation)
Location: Nearby Brussels / Ghent (Hybrid – up to 3 days remote)
Workload: Full-time (40h) or 4/5 (32h)
About the Assignment
You join a large-scale transformation in the food production industry, where multiple sites are being modernized with a new ERP and MES landscape. The goal: re-architect processes, roles, and systems to create a future-proof digital production environment. You work inside cross‑functional project teams, each driving a specific track within the roadmap. Your role is to translate business needs into integrated, secure, and scalable IT solutions — and to guard architectural consistency across all initiatives.
Your Impact
As Solution IT Architect, you shape the backbone of the future production environment. You will:
Design & Validate Solutions
Translate functional and non-functional requirements into robust IT architecture.
Align closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and support teams to ensure strong buy‑in.
Guide Decisions & Reduce Risk
Identify architectural risks early.
Present the trade‑offs of alternative solutions and facilitate decision‑making.
Strengthen the Architecture Landscape
Evolve the reference architecture in line with business ambitions and relevant technology trends.
Guarantee alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
Ensure delivered solutions stay consistent with the designed architecture.
Governance & Documentation
Document architecture decisions according to expected standards.
Participate actively in architecture governance boards and related processes.
You maintain clear, structured communication throughout the assignment:
Weekly updates to project managers
Monthly content reviews with the Enterprise IT Architect
Monthly status reporting to your Team Manager
