Linum Consult’s client is an international technical and engineering construction specialist, with a focus in complex industrial buildings. They are looking to hire an Estimator to join their team in Belgium.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates that drive project success
2. Leading the financial evaluation of tender opportunities, from initial review through to submission and handover
3. Analysing project specifications, coordinating with design teams, evaluating subcontractor quotations, and ensuring that estimates reflect both the technical requirements and commercial objectives of the business
4. Influencing bid strategies, risk management, and value engineering solutions
5. Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining high standards of integrity and professionalism
PROFILE
6. Minimum of 7 years’ experience in an estimating role within the construction industry
7. Working knowledge of MEP and HVAC in relation to pharmaceutical construction projects
8. Good understanding of the fundamentals of construction systems
9. Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications, process design and contracts
10. Good understanding of bills of materials
11. Able to document and organise a complex stream of information and paperwork quickly and efficiently
12. Excellent IT skills, including MS Office, MS Project and CostX
13. Excellent communication skills in both French and English
