Experienced Project Manager – Brussels

We are a language services provider operating under a European Union contract for interpretation services and are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Brussels.
Role Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of interpretation assignments, from planning and resourcing through to delivery and follow-up. This is a hybrid front- and back-office role, requiring close coordination with interpreters, clients, internal management, and travel coordination teams. The position involves working under tight deadlines, handling last-minute changes, and ensuring full contractual and administrative compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing interpretation assignments from receipt to completion
* Optioning and booking conference interpreters and building appropriate interpretation teams
* Liaising with clients, interpreters, and internal stakeholders
* Coordinating closely with the travel and accommodation team
* Handling last-minute changes, replacements, and troubleshooting operational issues
* Ensuring compliance with contract requirements and internal procedures
* Managing administrative tasks including purchase orders, confirmations, reporting, and documentation
* Monitoring delivery quality and supporting continuous improvement
Required Profile
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects under pressure and tight deadlines
* Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
* Comfortable handling a significant administrative workload alongside operational tasks
* Mature, reliable, and professional approach; able to interact confidently with senior stakeholders
* Prior experience in language services or EU institutional environments is an asset, but not mandatory
Language Requirements
* English – Mandatory
* French – Preferable but not mandatory
* Additional languages are a strong asset
