Responsibilities
1. Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, earthing, fire alarm, security, and ICT installations.
2. Carry out inspections of Long Lead Equipment (LLE) and Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) mechanical and electrical systems to verify compliance with design and specification.
3. Ensure all electrical works adhere to approved drawings, technical specifications, and relevant international standards (e.g. IEC, IEEE, local codes).
4. Raise, track, and close out non-conformance reports (NCRs) in a timely and professional manner.
5. Participate in quality audits and assist during internal and external inspection processes.
6. Review and verify contractor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality records.
7. Work collaboratively with site teams, contractors, and client representatives to identify and resolve quality issues.
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all inspections, test results, and communications.
9. Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the project’s quality management system.
About You
We’re looking for a Quality Inspector (Electrical) who combines technical expertise with a practical, hands-on approach to quality assurance and inspection.
You’ll bring:
10. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical inspection or quality control within the construction industry.
11. Experience on large-scale construction projects within Data Centre environments
12. Strong understanding of electrical systems, installation methods, and testing procedures.
13. Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
14. Applied knowledge of LLE and OFCI installations in large construction environments.
15. Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
16. Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.
17. A technical qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services (degree, diploma, or equivalent).
