Ph3Job purpose /h3 pAs the Head of Capital Projects and Sustainability you are a key member of the Belgium Engineering Maintenance leadership team, accountable for delivering the capital investment portfolio across all Belgian sites. The role ensures the adoption of state‑of‑the‑art technologies and drives forward‑looking, sustainable solutions. /p h3Your responsibilities /h3 ul liLead for the site Capital Portfolio. You are responsible for organizing annual Asset Conditional assessments and drafting the Facility Master Plan. /li liYou are responsible for End‑to‑End delivery of Site’s Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) budget, in line with GSK Safety, Quality Compliance standards. /li liIn addition to managing the CAPEX for site, you directly lead end‑to‑end delivery of Engineering projects. Domains of these projects can range from Sustainable Energy to Operational Utilities Engineering Upgrades and Construction projects. /li liYou are accountable for maintaining good documentation practices for all projects in line with the Project Management Framework. /li /ul h3Operational Planning Executions /h3 ul liLead, manage, design, develop, create and maintain small‑scale through large‑scale Engineering CAPEX projects and modifications involving cost material saving in a safe, timely, quality and sustainable manner. /li liManage and plan site CAPEX budget and ensure target spend is achieved year‑on‑year through relevant KPIs and analysis. You will be accountable for maintaining Department wise CAPEX project lists and ensuring that funding approvals are done timely to capitalize projects on agreed timelines with the Finance Department. /li liSeamless coordination and constant liaison with the Global Capital Lead for developing, submitting, tracking and upgrading site CAPEX plan. /li liConduct construction safety investigations utilizing appropriate root cause Five‑Why tools and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other) to regularly update the relevant stakeholders. /li liCarry out techno‑commercial analysis and feasibility studies to draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications, in liaison with consultants. /li liAssess potential construction safety risks, materials and costs through standard risk management practices. /li liTap the potential of Continuous Improvement to advise creatively resolve any emerging problems / deficiencies throughout the project life‑cycle. /li liManage, train, develop and mentor staff and effectively liaise with a variety of stakeholders (EHS, Finance, External Consultants, Engineering, Project Contractors) to streamline project execution and closure. /li liMonitor progress and compile reports in project status. Develop BOQs, manage budget and purchase materials/ equipment by deploying Total System Cost concept and forecasting material requirement. /li liComply with international standards, best industry practices, local laws, guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc. and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required through updated digital channels while maintaining adequate access control. /li liIdentify and prioritize replacement or upgrade of processes, equipment, and components at Site that can deliver high return on investment through automation by working closely with team lead automation. /li liEnsure safety issues are appropriately addressed and mitigated. /li /ul h3Strategic Planning /h3 ul liAnalyze the production equipment operations and provide a plan for the improvement of process efficiency and robustness. /li liProvide useful inputs in planning the capacity and forecasting the utilisation. /li liPlan the induction of new maintenance concepts. /li liApply new technology as a driving force for process simplification, economical and effective payback times. /li /ul h3Compliance and Procedural Implementations /h3 ul liEnsure adequate selection, training and development of staff to achieve their maximum potential to meet business objective. /li liUser performance development plans effectively for better performance and development of teams. /li liEnsure that requirements of TP‑13 are fulfilled in the concerned area. /li liDevelop and implement systems, policies, and procedure so that engineering activities are operated safely, support production, and comply with Group and Local regulatory requirements. /li liEnsure that all engineering related systems are maintained within their validated Parameters to achieve consistent quality and reliability. /li liResponsible for performing all duties in accordance with all environmental, health and Safety regulations and practices applicable to this position. /li liProviding Engineering support for preparation of Site Quality plans periodically. /li liManage engineering needs and procurement policies are being met to facilitate the Smooth flow of engineering operations. /li liEnsure compliance with Global GSK policies and procedures comprising of GMP, ETCM, TPs, BCP, EHS, GQP and QMS policies. /li liTake responsibility and accountability for Physical Contamination Cause and Elimination (PCCE) program at site, identifying, managing, and eliminating PCCE risks and deviations to ensure compliance with EHS and quality policies. /li /ul h3Additional information /h3 ul liReporting line: VP Engineering Maintenance /li liPosition level: Senior Director /li liPeople management (direct/indirect reports, etc.): Direct Reports (max 10).
