Currently, we employ about 470 people in Belgium.
We are currently seeking a Head of Supply Chain (M/F/X).
Main duties and responsibilities include:
* Managing the Supply Chain functions (Procurement, Food Planning, Warehousing) to ensure goods are ordered, checked, received, organized, and delivered efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively.
* Optimizing daily operations to improve stock accuracy and usage, and ensuring the development and implementation of logistics processes in cooperation with operational excellence and integrated business solutions.
* Planning manpower needs based on short, mid, and long-term requirements.
* Ensuring proper use and maintenance of the ERP system (WMS module, SAP).
* Conducting audits and daily patrols, including Safety Management System, quality, and safety audits.
* Managing the department in accordance with safety, security, health, environmental, and quality guidelines, complying with corporate, local regulations, and customer requirements.
* Overseeing procurement processes from supplier selection to negotiation and transition management, ensuring smooth operations.
* Preparing annual procurement plans, including tenders, customer menu presentations, projects, and resource planning in coordination with relevant interfaces.
* Analyzing and evaluating suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and performance; negotiating contracts and monitoring supplier performance.
* Developing concepts, products, and services, and maintaining accurate product costings and master price lists based on contractual terms.
* Leading the team through regular meetings, communication, and problem-solving efforts with direct reports (Purchasing, Buyers, Warehouse Team Leaders; total team size 25-40).
* Developing and training team members in collaboration with HR, and regularly evaluating their skills and qualifications.
Candidate profile:
* At least a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
* Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in Supply Chain or Procurement.
* Fluent in Dutch, French, and English.
* ERP knowledge required; SAP experience is an advantage.
* Proficient in Office applications (Excel advanced, Word, PowerPoint).
* Accurate, analytical, and service-minded.
