Position Summary:

The Health & Safety Coordinator provides administrative, organizational, and site-based support to the HSEQIS Department across the Western Region. This role combines office-based duties with periodic site visits, working closely with the Health & Safety/ Compliance Manager to support the effective implementation and ongoing compliance of all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements

Work Environment:

This position is predominately office-based work with regular visits to project sites. Site visits will be conducted alongside Project Managers and the Health & Safety / Compliance Manager within the Western Region.


Job Responsibilities:

* Provide administrative support to the HSEQIS Department, ensuring all compliance documentation is accurately maintained and kept up to date.
* Plan and monitor training programs to ensure compliance requirements are met and maintain accurate records of training and certification.
* Plan and deliver Toolbox Talks to Service Specialists, Technical Specialists and office and site operatives.
* Assist with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) procurement and equipment inspections for Service Specialists and at project sites.
* Attend planning and coordination meetings, in person or via Microsoft Teams, alongside the Health & Safety / Compliance Manager.
* Assist with research and ongoing monitoring of applicable Health & Safety legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
* Conduct site visits, prepare inspection reports, and follow up on corrective actions to ensure timely closure.
* Perform basic internal audits relating to training compliance and project documentation, producing reports and tracking corrective actions.
* Support preparation activities for ISO and other certification audits.
* Travel within the Western Region as required to support site and operational activities.


Job Skills Requirements:

* Fluency in English
* Previous experience in occupational health and safety, including knowledge of safety standards, regulations, and workplace risk prevention.
* Strong interpersonal and telephone communication skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, and Word.
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
* Valid driver’s license required.

Education Requirements:

* No requirement. If probation is successful, a training will be provided.
