GL Accountant

About the role
As a GL Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the complete accounting operations of your designated company. At DSV in Belgium, we manage operations for Belgium, the Netherlands, UK, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, France, Luxembourg, and Italy. Your duties will include preparing monthly and annual financial closings, reconciling accounting and operational processes, and ensuring accuracy and completeness. Collaborating with controlling and local teams, you will monitor costs, accruals, and provisions.
Tasks:
1. Assume responsibility for Balance Sheet analysis and monthly reconciliation;
2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end internal and group reports;
3. Participate in the annual budgeting process;
4. Participate in the annual external audit process.

Are you the perfect fit?
5. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting;
6. Previous experience as a GL Accountant;
7. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Dutch and English;
8. Knowledge of balance sheet analysis, monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing processes, IFRS, and reconciliations. SAP experience is advantageous;
9. A team player who thrives in an international environment.
