Job Description
overseeing the security aspects of industrial projects, particularly during procurement and execution phases. The person in this role works closely with system and project owners to perform due diligence on new equipment purchases, ensuring they meet internal IT security requirements.
Team information:
There are four people three external and one internal. The scope of work is extensive and cross-functional, involving collaboration with over 60 individuals across various IT functions.
Typical day :
The role involves significant stakeholder management and requires being a strong communicator and a people person. A key part of the job is a weekly 2-hour review meeting every Friday, where around 8 Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from areas like networking, data center, validation, and security come together. During this meeting, system and product owners present new projects they intend to purchase or implement. The person in this role leads the security review of these proposed solutions, raises concerns, and helps steer the discussion toward a clear decision. The goal is to resolve issues during the meeting itself, without needing follow-up discussions.
Preparation for this meeting begins earlier in the week, typically on Monday or Tuesday, when new projects are introduced. This involves researching the projects, gathering relevant information, and communicating with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient review process on Friday.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in security, combined with solid IT networking experience. This is not a project management role, but rather a senior-level Subject Matter Expert (SME) position that also requires excellent people skills and the ability to communicate and steer discussions effectively. While no specific number of years is mandated, the candidate should realistically match the skill and experience expectations. The unique aspect of this role is the blend of technical expertise and interpersonal strengths.

As an excellent communicator in English and French you are capable of building bridges and trusted relationships across various IT Stakeholder groups. You have a good understanding of cyber security in general and how defense in depth is applied in practice. Being a critical thinker when it comes to reviewing documents, reviewing projects
