OPPORTUNITY
The Regional Reliability Engineer ensures the reliability of facilities, equipment, utilities, processes, and systems across multiple Hydrite locations. They create programs and procedures to support reliability and mechanical integrity. This role oversees safe, reliable, and cost-effective maintenance in a manufacturing setting, focusing on improving reliability, safety, and environmental compliance. The engineer also develops maintenance resources and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
Safety:
* Champion safety principles, job planning, and process safety initiatives.
* Ensure assets operate within design parameters and meet regulatory standards.
* Maintain robust safety practices and assist with hazard assessments to prevent incidents.
Maintenance and Reliability:
* Develop and implement a reliability strategy for critical equipment or systems by utilizing maintenance best practices and KPIs to improve equipment reliability, safety, and performance.
* Develop design, installation, test, and inspection criteria for equipment and suppliers.
* Inspect new installations to ensure they meet specifications and recommend modifications when needed.
* Define, develop, and maintain an asset maintenance plan and Mechanical Integrity program.
* Support site Mechanical Integrity and other PSM/RMP/Calarp programs.
* Identify and pursue continuous improvement opportunities to reduce waste and control maintenance costs.
* Become proficient with the CMMS (Maximo) and historian software (e.g., Delta-V PI) to enhance maintenance processes.
* Develop, implement, and communicate plant maintenance and reliability KPIs to evaluate equipment performance and issues.
* Investigate equipment failures and root causes, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Create preventative maintenance schedules, monitor their effectiveness, and update as necessary.
Leadership and Development:
* Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to promote safety, quality, and reliability.
* Provide technical support for plant equipment and operations.
* Assist in training maintenance personnel on technical and procedural practices.
* Engage in ongoing training and professional development, including membership in relevant organizations.

REPORTING STRUCTURE
* This position reports to the Maintenance and Reliability Manager.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL CRITERIA
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with 5-10+ years of relevant experience.
* 3-5 years of experience in chemical, food processing, or manufacturing sectors, with supervisory or management roles.
* Expert-level knowledge in one or more areas, capable of making data-backed decisions.
* Experience guiding projects and consulting at facilities.
* Proficiency with data manipulation and dashboard creation, especially related to MI and Reliability metrics.
* Experience with PSM/RMP or Calarp methodologies.
* Familiarity with CMMS (Maximo) and historian software.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
