About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Pega System Architect to join our client's cross-functional team, driving the evolution of a mission-critical, transversal platform supporting multiple business applications. Key Responsibilities
* Enhance and maintain a reusable, transversal Pega platform (ORION) supporting multiple business applications.
* Translate business needs and functional specifications into robust Pega solutions, presenting well-argued options and identifying opportunities for enrichment and refactoring.
* Ensure all solutions align with Pega best practices and the technical architecture established by the client.
* Keep the demonstration application up to date, reflecting the latest platform evolutions.
* Build, configure, and develop complete features and granular components (including user interfaces, connectors, transformations, jobs, and extensions).
* Document all developments clearly and thoroughly.
* Provide responsive support and proactive expertise to both the transversal platform team and business application teams.
* Promote best practices in Pega application design and construction, in line with client guidelines.
* Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, refinements, etc.).
* Collaborate closely with functional analysts and product owners to understand, refine, and challenge requirements.
* Work with other team members and the platform architect to determine optimal solutions, phasing, and ROI for client needs.
* Estimate analysis, development, and testing timeframes accurately.
* Proactively report estimation overruns and blockers, proposing actionable alternatives.
Technical Skills
* Expertise in designing and building complex Pega applications (10+ case types) using the "layer cake" approach
* Experience developing features within a technical framework for multiple applications
* Advanced knowledge of REST, SOAP, HTTP, and FTP integrations
* Proficiency with Pega Cosmos Theme (minimum 2 years, version 4+)
* Strong experience with Pega PRPC (version 8+)
* Understanding of security concepts: RBAC, ABAC, Keystore, OIDC
* Familiarity with Pega Deployment Manager and PDC
* Experience with Java development is a plus
* Hands-on experience with JIRA
Language Proficiency
* French: Full professional proficiency (C2)
Other Requirements
* Senior Pega System Architect certification (mandatory)
* Minimum 2 years' experience with Pega Cosmos Theme (version 4+)
* Minimum 2 years' experience with Pega version 8+
* Willingness to work onsite in Namur three consecutive days per month (mandatory)
* Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
* Strong communication skills, both technical and non-technical
* Proactive, solution-oriented, and collaborative mindset
* Experience in the Belgian public sector is a plus
