Mission
We are seeking a highly skilled Power System Expert to join our client in Gembloux.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure projects, ensuring the robustness and reliability of power transmission systems.
You Will
* Perform advanced power network analyses, including load flow and steady‑state studies, voltage and dynamic stability assessments, and network modelling.
* Validate and refine input data to ensure accuracy and reliability of simulation results.
* Utilise and optimise power system simulation tools, particularly PowerFactory from DigSILENT, to support analytical and operational activities.
* Develop and maintain automated workflows, scripting and supporting tools for analysis, testing and reporting to enhance efficiency.
* Provide expert technical support, mentorship and knowledge transfer to internal engineering teams.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high‑quality, timely results for ongoing analytical and transformation projects.
You Have
* Minimum 8 years of professional experience in power engineering roles, with a proven track record within a Transmission System Operator (TSO) or comparable organisation (mandatory).
* Extensive hands‑on expertise in transmission network studies and power system simulations.
* Strong proficiency in PowerFactory from DigSILENT.
* Advanced programming and automation skills, especially in Python scripting within simulation environments.
* Ability to work independently in complex, high‑pressure settings, demonstrating strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Educational background: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with a specialisation in Power Systems or Transmission Networks.
* Language skills: Proficiency in Dutch and/or French and English is required.
