Purpose of the Role
The Chief Product Officer (CPO) is a member of the Bank's Leadership Team and has primary accountability for product‐led growth strategy by creating exceptional internal operations and user experiences that drive customer growth and retention. The CPO owns the entire customer journey - across products, channels, and interactions and will align cross‐functional teams (product, tech, design, compliance) around customer outcomes and bring agility, accountability and customer obsession to the top of the organisation.
The function will combine deep product expertise, operational knowledge with data‐driven decision making to create solutions that naturally drive business growth through product and operational excellence. The role requires close collaboration with Lending, Funding, Risk, Data and Tech functions.
Core Responsibilities
Be responsible for defining and executing the Bank's product strategy leading a diverse team of professionals, including product owners, marketing, designers, operations and risk specialists
Champion customer‐centricity, manage and scale lending and deposit taking product operations across multiple locations, deliver marketing plans to drive awareness and deliver outcomes that support balance sheet growth
Working across multiple countries, define and deliver the products and propositions required for the Bank's growth plans
Drive Agile ways of working together with the technology function, ensuring product and customer driven prioritisation, requirement definition and implementations
Manage a range of change programmes including but not limited to product operations, target architecture, KYC tooling and operating model
Introduce enhanced process improvements and efficiencies as a way of working so that it becomes part of the culture to strive for continuous improvement
Build and continuously develop a diverse high performing Cross‐functional team
Provide support to the executive team in managing senior relationships
Ensure talent development, retention and succession planning, reducing key person risk
Skills and Competencies
10+ years of product management experience in lending, financial services or fintech, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role driving lending strategy and innovation
Strong understanding of corporate dynamics combined with entrepreneurial mindset demonstrating ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments while maintaining agility
Impressive track record of successfully launching and scaling digital products that drive significant business impact and user adoption
Knowledge of the SME and commercial market across multiple lending products and deposits
Agile mindset and track record of using AGILE processes to deliver complex product driven change
Deep commitment to customer‐centricity with proven experience translating user research and feedback into exceptional product experiences that solve real customer problems
Solution‐orientated strategic thinker with a proactive and analytical approach, a passion for problem solving, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism
Exceptional strategic thinking combined with strong execution skills to translate vision into actionable roadmaps and deliver results
Track record of understanding, using and developing technology to drive business outcomes
Superior communication and presentation abilities, capable of inspiring teams and influencing senior stakeholders across all levels of the organization
Able to balance the requirements of multiple stakeholders with sometimes competing objectives
Adaptability to diverse cultural and professional environments, with a collaborative and solution‐oriented mindset
CSSF or other relevant regulatory approvals
Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in additional European languages (e.g., French, Dutch or Spanish) is an advantage
