Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Airocollect is a fast-growing Construction Tech startup making aerial data accessible to roofing and construction professionals. Our SaaS platform transforms drone imagery, LiDAR, and geospatial data into clear, actionable insights—without requiring a pilot license or complex workflows.
Already trusted by leading construction companies across Europe, we are preparing for our next growth phase: scaling product, infrastructure, and technical depth toward Series A.
To support this journey, we are looking for a hands‑on CTO with deep technical expertise in 3D data, photogrammetry, and geospatial systems, combined with strong product and leadership instincts.
As CTO, you will own the entire technical function at Airocollect: architecture, engineering execution, data pipelines, and technical strategy.
This is a builder‑first role. You will actively contribute to core algorithms and systems while shaping the team, roadmap, and long‑term technical vision. You will work closely with the founders, product, and commercial teams to turn complex spatial data into a simple, scalable SaaS product.
Key Responsibilities
Photogrammetry, 3D & Geospatial Systems
* Develop and improve photogrammetry and point‑cloud processing pipelines
* Process and analyze LiDAR data and governmental geoservice point clouds
* Research, integrate, and optimize open‑source photogrammetry and geometry tools
* Work on 3D visualization pipelines using Three.js
* Ensure accurate handling of geospatial data, projections, and coordinate systems (EPSG)
AI / ML & Algorithm Development
* Design and improve AI/ML models for automatic roof detection and measurement (roof planes, hips, gutters, valleys, etc.)
* Implement and optimize feature extraction from spatial and point‑cloud data, geometry fitting algorithms (e.g. polyfit), and Random Forest–based classifiers
* Continuously improve algorithm accuracy, performance, and robustness
Technical Leadership & Architecture
* Scale and own the long‑term technical architecture for a scalable SaaS platform
* Design systems that balance performance, accuracy, scalability, and speed of execution
Product & Engineering Execution
* Collaborate closely with frontend and backend teams to deliver end‑to‑end features
* Contribute hands‑on to core codebases where technical depth is critical
* Translate customer and business needs into technical solutions
* Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, and performance
Team Building & Culture
* Hire, mentor, and lead a high‑performing engineering team
* Establish development processes that scale without slowing innovation
* Build a pragmatic, ownership‑driven engineering culture
* Support and grow engineers across backend, frontend, and data domains
