The project:
Our client in the banking sector, is seeking an experienced Data Governance Manager to strengthen their team.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead the implementation of the Data Governance framework (Business Glossary, Business Lineage, Data Quality).
* Collaborate with Business, IT, and Data stakeholders to align needs, harmonize decisions, and deliver practical solutions.
* Challenge existing practices to enhance data quality, transparency, and traceability, while taking business constraints into account.
* Ensure compliance within your domain with key regulatory frameworks such as BCBS239 and Solvency II, aligning with both internal and external requirements.
* Translate Data Governance principles into operational and actionable practices.

* Ability to structure approaches, influence stakeholders, and drive alignment.
* Comfortable leading strategic discussions and turning concepts into concrete actions.
* Pragmatic mindset: able to respect legacy decisions while actively identifying improvement opportunities.
* Strong communication skills, autonomous, and results-driven.
* Solid understanding of Data Governance principles.
* Experience in Risk and/or Finance domains.
* Previous experience in data-related roles.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.
* Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as BCBS239, Solvency II, or similar. xphnsxz
* Bilingual (French/Dutch) with a good command of English.
