Your role will be key in shaping a lean architecture that balances cost and performance for Daikin’s Cloud solutions. /ppstrongAbout EDC /strong /ppThe strongEMEA Electrics and Controls /strong department, located at Tech Lane Ghent Science Park, is one of the fastest-growing departments within the EMEA Development Centre (EDC) of Daikin. The department is responsible for the development and improvement of controls: room controls, unit controls, app controls, and cloud controls. /ppEmbedded software development /ppCloud and app development /ppThroughout the development process, we combine strongin-house /strong development with strongstrategic cooperation /strong from external partners to enhance our products, keeping them among the best in the industry. All Daikin departments collaborate closely to ensure high-quality products for the Daikin EMEA market. /ph3strongYour Role /strong /h3pDesign, document, and visualize the architecture of our cloud services and supporting tools. /ppWork closely with the product development team to ensure the design is supported and implemented. /ppAct as an expert and coordinate with our dedicated technology suppliers and implementation partners. /ppAnalyze risks and assess the potential impact of architectural changes. /ph3strongKey Technologies You'll Work With /strong /h3pstrongManaged Services /strong: Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, Cognito, Kinesis, AWS IoT Core, AWS SageMaker /ph3strongYour Qualifications /strong /h3pYou hold a strongMaster’s degree /strong and have a strong interest in computer science. /ppYou already possess knowledge of some of the technologies listed above or have a strong eagerness to learn. /ppYou have strongexpert knowledge of at least one cloud platform /strong, preferably AWS. /ppYou have a solid understanding of strongIoT concepts /strong, ideally including communication with low-resource embedded devices. /ppYou are familiar with strongmicroservice-based architectures /strong using containerization and/or serverless (Lambda) technologies. /ppYou have proven experience in strongAPI design /strong and strongdata model creation /strong. /ppYou stay up to date with industry trends and enjoy innovating through research, proofs of concept, and demos. /ppstrongCloud security /strong is critical — expert-level understanding of key security principles is required. /ppYou have several years of professional experience, allowing you to work independently and help bring structure to our rapidly growing organization. /ppYou think conceptually and have a clear vision of how new technologies can add value in daily operations.
