An international player in advanced connectivity and satellite communication technologies is looking for a hands-on and driven Senior General Ledger Accountant to strengthen its European Finance team. The company plays a pivotal role in enabling secure, global data communication through satellite networks for critical sectors, including maritime, defense, and telecommunications.

Your responsibilities
As a Senior GL Accountant, you will report to the Accounting Manager and work in close collaboration with colleagues in the US and Asia. You will take ownership of core accounting processes for multiple European entities and act as a key contributor in ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
* Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes in SAP
* Prepare and post journal entries, including provisions and inventory corrections
* Ensure accuracy of VAT filings across European entities
* Oversee the accounting for two legal entities and act as point of contact for local tax matters
* Handle reconciliations, Bill of Materials, and bank statement bookings
* Actively support external audits and internal controls
* Support upcoming migration to SAP S/4HANA
* Collaborate closely with colleagues in the US for group consolidation (SAP-to-Oracle flow)
* Work on continuous improvement and automation of processes
Your profile
We are looking for someone who can balance technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills. You are not just a bookkeeper—you’re a team player, communicator, and problem solver.
* You have 5+ years of experience in general accounting
* You bring solid knowledge of BE GAAP and/or IFRS, and European VAT legislation
* SAP experience is highly valued
* You have worked in international environments and feel comfortable operating across cultures and time zones
* You are structured, accurate, and solution-oriented
* You communicate fluently in English and enjoy engaging with colleagues
* You are proactive, not afraid to speak your mind, and thrive in a culture of open feedback
* You’re available in the short term and can legally work in Belgium (work permit possible)
