This role acts as the primary Security Office liaison between the Security Office and the IT organization. It focuses on the implementation of the Security Office Program within IT and ensures its effectiveness. It also includes the collaboration with SPOCs in IT to implement and enforce security policies, conduct vulnerability assessments, and oversee incident response efforts within the IT department.
Key Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the main point of contact between the Security Office and IT. Build and maintain strong relationships with IT leadership and SPOCs.
Policy Implementation: Ensure IT adheres to security policies, standards, and procedures by embedding these policies, standards and procedures into the core processes of IT. Support the development of IT-specific security guidelines.
Vulnerability Management: Coordinate vulnerability assessments and remediation efforts within IT. Ensure timely resolution of identified risks.
Incident Response: Perform second line analysis of Security Incident Tickets. Aid in the co-operation between IT and the SOC/SIEM provider.
Program Effectiveness: Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the Security Office Program within IT. Ensure IT and Security roadmap compatibility.
Compliance & Audits: Assist in preparing for and responding to security audits. Ensure IT meets regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
Your profile
You are a bridge-builder who speaks the language of both risk managers and system engineers. You don't just point out security gaps; you partner with IT to find workable solutions.
You hold a master's or bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
You have at least 5 years of experience in IT Security, IT Change Management or a Business Partnering role within a complex technical environment.
Solid understanding of security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS. Familiarity with modern IT infrastructure (Cloud security, CI/CD, Networking, and Identity Management).
Experience with vulnerability management tools and incident handling.
Diplomatic Persuasiveness: You can advocate for security requirements without halting IT productivity.
Analytical Mindset: You can translate complex security incidents into actionable improvements.
