CEO – Brazil
We are seeking a CEO responsible for launching and leading CFI’s operations in Brazil, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving client acquisition and revenue growth, and building local teams and partnerships. The role combines strategic market entry, operational setup, and commercial leadership within a regulated financial services environment.
Main tasks and responsibilities
* Lead all aspects of CFI's operational setup in Brazil, including office infrastructure, vendor relationships, banking, and local legal presence.
* Develop and execute a comprehensive Brazil go‑to‑market strategy aligned with Group objectives and local market dynamics.
* Identify and propose pricing of products & services based on local market.
* Serve as the primary point of accountability for CFI's regulatory obligations with the CVM (Comissão de Valores Mobiliários) and the Banco Central do Brasil.
* Ensure the business is built and operated in full compliance with Brazilian securities and financial services regulations.
* Maintain thorough regulatory reporting, licensing conditions, and ongoing dialogue with Brazilian regulators.
* Define a clear structure and plan for a build phase, with a roadmap for scaling headcount in line with business growth.
* Drive client acquisition across retail and institutional segments, with clear KPIs for accounts, funded clients, trading volumes, and revenue.
* Build and manage relationships with local partners and institutional clients.
* Develop localized sales strategies, leveraging digital channels, networks, and direct outreach.
* Coordinate with Group Operations, Technology, and Product teams to ensure Brazil‑specific requirements (PSP integration, local support systems, local language interfaces) are delivered.
* Implement and manage local client support infrastructure, including KYC/AML processes tailored to CVM and BACEN requirements.
* Represent CFI at industry events, regulatory forums, and in media as required.
Qualifications & Experience
* 10+ years of experience in financial services, with significant exposure to brokerage, trading, or capital markets.
* Proven track record in a senior leadership or country management role within a regulated financial institution.
* Deep knowledge of the Brazilian financial services regulatory landscape (CVM, BACEN, and applicable legislation).
* Strong commercial mindset with demonstrated ability to build revenue, manage P&L, and grow client bases.
* Experience hiring, managing, and developing multi‑functional teams in a build or growth environment.
* Fluency in Portuguese and strong English communication skills.

CLO – Brazil
Our client is a growing Brazilian fintech with strong social impact and evolving from a startup into a disciplined, institutional‑grade organization. The firm is seeking a Chief Legal Officer to lead all legal‑related initiatives, navigate complex landscapes, build and manage a high‑performing team, and serve as a trusted advisor to the founders.
Responsibilities
* Manage all legal matters (mostly domestic but some international exposure as well).
* Build, structure, and lead a high‑performing in‑house legal team, including:
o Defining clear scopes between in‑house vs. external counsel;
o Hiring, developing, and, when necessary, upgrading talent;
o Implementing SLAs, prioritization frameworks, and legal intake processes;
o Ensuring legal is a force multiplier, not a bottleneck.
* Process professionalization: transition the legal department from "startup mode" to a disciplined "financial institution standard".
* Risk optimization: translate legal constraints into business options, quantify downside, propose alternatives, and recommend paths that maximize long‑term enterprise value.
* Regulatory: manage the process of applying for SCD (Sociedade de Crédito Direto) License, exposure to Central Bank of Brazil (BCB), Open Finance, Consumer protection at scale (BACEN + SENACON dynamics), structuring new financial products under regulatory ambiguity.
* Be ready to contribute to potential capital raise/M&A processes, manage data rooms, oversee due diligence, and negotiate complex term sheets.
Qualifications
* 15–20 years of experience.
* Generalist expertise in Brazilian employment law, tax basics, contract law (Brazil & International), regulatory, and M&A.
* Combination of top‑tier law firm and in‑house experience.
* Start‑up experience (ideally at a fintech).
* English fluency is a must.
This role is NOT for:
* Pure advisory profiles who prefer external counsel to execution.
* Lawyers who have not personally built, hired, and performance‑managed teams.
