The team has built an extensive experience in various domains with the value creation spectrum, such as Strategic Transformations, Transaction Strategy and Execution, Commercial Due Diligence, Commercial Strategy & Pricing and Growth Strategies. across various industries, such as Lifesciences, Industrials & Manufacturing and Consumer. The team works for both Belgian mid to large cap players, as well as European or Global scale companies and has been able to build a strong presence in the private equity market.
Currently we are looking for a Senior Consultant – Commercial Due Diligence to reinforce and support our growth.
Key responsibilities
As a ‘Senior Consultant – Commercial Due Diligence’ you help investors and corporate clients to assess the true commercial potential of businesses by analyzing, markets, customers, and competitive landscapes.
You translate complex data into clear strategic recommendations that guide high stakes investment decisions.
You will also get the opportunity to work on other key topics within our offering such as Strategic Transformations, Transaction Strategy and Execution, Commercial Strategy & Pricing and Growth Strategies.
As ‘Senior Consultant’ we expect you to be a clear added value to your project and project manager. You are a go-to-person for (many) junior practitioners. You are able to showcase your topic and/or industry expertise at multiple occasions. Key words in your role are (1) expertise builder, (2) coach & go-to-person, (3) stakeholder manager and (4) challenger.
TECHNICAL responsibility:
1. Delivery excellence: you are able to take responsibility over a project stream (including management of key stakeholders, timelines, important meetings, etc.). You support your project manager on a daily basis and become a ‘wing person’;
2. You are fluent in building a story line and in distinguishing key messages from details;
3. You can coach up to 3 team members to accelerate their overall development & progress on the project.
BUSINESS responsibility:
4. Sales excellence: you support on ‘Business development’-activities by actively contributing on proposals and driving pieces of it end-to-end based on guidelines and discussions with senior leaders in the firm;
5. You support the team in building ‘pitch’ or inspirational documents and join client discussions;
6. Building diverse capabilities: you support the market position of EY-Parthenon by driving inspirational eminence pieces forward. You make your community shine by helping out on one or more team activities.
LEADERSHIP responsibilities:
7. Effective communication: you are confident in presenting insights towards senior (client) stakeholders. You have strong stakeholder management skills and are capable in ‘challenging’ your client and leaders in a constructive way;
8. Collaboration: you are a go-to-person for both junior practitioners (for coaching) as leaders (for engagement support).
To qualify for the role, you must have
9. A minimum of 2-3 years of working experience in a strategy consulting firm, private equity and/or in a corporate strategy departments or strategic roles;
10. A Master’s degree in civil/business engineering, economics or similar. An MBA or any additional master’s degree will be considered as a strong asset;
11. Prior experience with commercial due diligence processes are a must.
12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical ability to shape the business agenda and define strategic roadmaps;
13. Experience with executing complex business projects, working with multi-disciplinary teams;
14. Strong internal and external business development acumen;
15. An entrepreneurial spirit, team player and excellent communicator;
16. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Dutch, French or English. Preferably you master one of the Belgian national languages.
