Your Role
As an Economic Policy Analyst (Fiscal Policy), you will work closely with our team to shape EU fiscal and budgetary debates through rigorous analysis and strategic outreach. You will lead the coordination of our fiscal policy research across our network, working closely with our Berlin-based team. Key responsibilities include:
* Fiscal and Budgetary Analysis: Drawing from our research, existing literature, and your own analysis, you will write impactful policy briefs tailored to policymakers and engage in outreach efforts, including events and advocacy meetings.
* Research Coordination: You will set project priorities, shape policy proposals, and drive impactful policy initiatives.
* Support: Assist the Managing Director in developing our headquarters, providing support in tasks such as outreach activities.
Your Profile
We seek a candidate with a solid understanding of European economic policies. Strong academic knowledge paired with at least 2 years (or 4+ years for the senior role) of relevant professional experience in fields such as fiscal policy, macroeconomic forecasting, economic policy, policy analysis, finance, or consultancy is required. An advanced degree in economics, law, EU affairs, or a related field is required (PhD preferred). The ideal candidate possesses excellent English skills and can write sophisticated yet accessible texts.
Benefits
This role offers a competitive salary of €65,000-€85,000 annual gross, depending on experience and skills, plus a benefits package. Primarily based in Brussels with options for remote work, you will join a dynamic team at the forefront of European policy change.
