What will you do? TÜV Austria Belgium is looking for a driven and precise Software Test Automation Engineer who gets energy from variety in projects and environments. In this consultancy role, you will contribute to diverse software solutions at our clients, where you will have a direct impact on the quality and stability of their systems. Test Automation Frameworks: You design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks, with a strong focus on Playwright for end‑to‑end, UI, and API testing. Automated test development: You develop maintainable, reliable test suites that integrate seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines. Functional & non-functional testing: You perform functional, regression, performance, and integration tests—and automate where possible. Quality Governance: You define test standards, best practices, and guidelines related to code quality. Test strategy & coverage: You support risk analyses, test plans, and ensure robust test coverage. CI/CD integration: You integrate automated tests into workflows such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. Defect analysis: You identify, document, and communicate defects, and collaborate with developers to resolve them quickly. Documentation: You keep technical documentation up to date (frameworks, scripts, processes). Collaboration: You work closely with software engineers, product owners, and project managers, both internally and at client locations. What do we offer you? You are fluent in Dutch and English. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant technical field. Several years of experience in software testing and test automation (2–4 years). Strong skills in Playwright; knowledge of Selenium, Cypress, or Robot Framework is a plus. Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and/or Python. Familiar with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins. Practical experience with API testing through Playwright API, Postman, or REST Assured. Comfortable working with Git‑based workflows. Good knowledge of TDD, BDD, shift‑left, and quality metrics. Extra assets: Docker, containerized testing, Azure experience. Additional plus points: k6, JMeter, OWASP ZAP, Aikido, SonarQube.
