First of all, what does a IT Support Engineer do at our customer in Antwerp?
They support the end users with technical IT problems related to software products, software programs or systems, in order to guarantee continuity within the organization.
Good. So what does that mean in detail?
* You will have to provide support through the incident management system and telephone to users to ensure that a fast and user-friendly service can be offered.
* You will have to ensure proper execution of administrative tasks related to the Windows environment, telephony and network infrastructure in order to solve problems more quickly without having to escalate to higher levels.
* You will map out and report continuously recurring problems and offer support when searching for solutions to ensure that problems can be avoided.
* You will install/deploy/maintain software and hardware to ensure that internal customers can make optimal use of our standard set of applications and tools.
* You will participate in the execution of IT projects, in order to contribute in achieving the project.
* You will provide IT training for new employees, as well as update training sessions for experienced users in order to increase the skills and knowledge of hardware and software of the end-users
* You will update and maintain the IT-documentation on sharepoint ensuring that the IT/architecture documentation is up to date at all times.
* You will update and maintain professional knowledge and technical skills to ensure that the professional knowledge is maximized and that it can be applied within the organisation in the best possible manner.
