LMS Consultant – Learning Technology Transformation
I am currently looking for an LMS Consultant to support a strategic learning technology transformation initiative, focused on the full replacement of an existing LMS and the design of a future‑ready learning ecosystem.
This role sits within a Learning Design and Strategy function, working closely with senior stakeholders and acting as a key driver across stakeholder engagement, RFP development, and technology advisory. The objective is to lay the foundation for a major investment decision and define the roadmap for the next generation learning platform.
This is a business‑focused consulting role. It is not a technical implementation position. The focus is on stakeholder alignment, requirements definition, market engagement, and strategic decision support across learning technologies.
What you’ll be doing
Stakeholder Engagement & Analysis (core focus)
Identify, map, and engage a complex stakeholder landscape across the organisation.
* Conduct consultations to capture business needs, constraints, and expectations.
* Ensure alignment across HR, Learning, IT, and business units.
* Build a clear and shared understanding of future learning requirements.
RFP Development & Market Engagement
* Develop and refine a comprehensive Request for Proposal (RFP) for LMS/LXP solutions.
* Ensure all functional, technical, and integration requirements are clearly defined.
* Support market consultation and vendor evaluation processes.
* Translate business needs into structured, vendor‑ready documentation.
Technology Advisory & Solution Assessment
* Advise on LMS and broader learning technology options.
* Assess integration scenarios with existing systems (e.g., talent management platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors).
* Provide clear, business‑focused recommendations on solution fit and future scalability.
* Support decision‑making for platform selection.
Roadmap & Strategy Definition
* Develop a clear, actionable roadmap for the future learning technology landscape.
* Define key milestones, dependencies, and priorities into the next phase of delivery.
* Ensure readiness for executive‑level decision points and investment approvals.
LMS Continuity & Transition Support
* Support planning for the transition period between current and future systems.
* Identify necessary short‑term improvements to the existing LMS.
* Ensure continuity while avoiding unnecessary investment or inefficiencies.
What I’m looking for
LMS & Learning Technology Expertise
* Strong experience in LMS, LXP, or learning technology consulting.
* Good understanding of the learning technology market and trends.
* Experience supporting LMS replacement or transformation initiatives.
Consulting & Business Analysis Skills
* Proven ability to gather, structure, and translate business requirements.
* Experience running or supporting RFP processes for technology solutions.
* Strong stakeholder management skills across complex organisations.
* Ability to turn technical options into clear, strategic recommendations.
Technology & Integration Awareness
* Understanding of system integrations (e.g., LMS with HR or talent systems).
* Awareness of enterprise platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors.
* Ability to evaluate technology from a business and strategic perspective (not technical design).
Soft skills
* Strong communicator, able to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
* Comfortable working autonomously and driving workstreams independently.
* Structured, proactive, and delivery‑focused.
* Collaborative and able to influence senior stakeholders.
Practical details
* Experience in learning technology projects or consulting environments.
* Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
* Comfortable working in structured, regulated environments.
* Able to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
Native French/ Dutch and Fluent English is required for this role.
