🌍 Database Reliability Engineer (PostgreSQL Specialist)
Location: Málaga, Madrid, or Seville (Hybrid – 2 days on-site)
Salary: Up to €70,000 - 75,000

Our client are looking for a Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE) to join our expanding team and take ownership of PostgreSQL reliability, scalability, and automation across 20+ databases and growing.

🚀 What You’ll Do
* Be our go-to PostgreSQL expert, driving reliability, migrations, and performance improvements.
* Work hands-on with Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, and Oracle (Postgres is your main playground).
* Lead critical database migrations — from operating systems to new platforms.
* Build and enhance automation with Ansible, Python, and Bash.
* Ensure smooth operations with Patroni, Prometheus, Grafana, and SolarWinds.
* Join a calm on-call rotation (once per month, paid) to keep things running smoothly.
* Collaborate in a diverse, open, and fun team led by Antonio Triana, where knowledge-sharing and growth are encouraged.
🎯 What Success Looks Like
* In your first 3–6 months, you’ll have mastered their database landscape, ensured smooth migrations, and strengthened reliability practices.
* You’ll be the PostgreSQL SME, guiding the team while also diving deep into automation and database-as-a-service operations.
* You’ll set the foundation for future CI/CD and containerisation projects while maintaining today’s mission-critical systems.

* Databases: PostgreSQL (core), MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle
* HA: Patroni
* Automation & IaC: Ansible, Python, Bash
* Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, SolarWinds
* Environment: Private Cloud (OpenStack), VMs (containers later down the line)

* Experience with automation & migrations — you love making things repeatable and reliable.
* Familiarity with MySQL/other DBs a plus (we’ll train you if needed).
