We're seeking a talented and detail-oriented Electrical Hardware Design Engineer to support the design and implementation of electrical systems for new automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop electrical schematics using EPLAN Electric P8 for complex automation systems.
Create and maintain panel layouts, terminal diagrams, cable routing, and bill of materials.
Support system integration of PLCs, motor drives, sensors, and other industrial components.
Review and validate electrical designs to ensure compliance with relevant codes and internal standards (e.g., IEC, UL, CE).
Collaborate closely with mechanical, controls, and software teams throughout the development lifecycle.
Support the manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of electrical cabinets and field wiring.
Manage updates to electrical documentation during the lifecycle of the system (from concept to decommissioning).
Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and electrical safety evaluations.
Profile / Requirements :
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in electrical hardware design and engineering for industrial automation systems.
Strong proficiency in EPLAN.
Solid understanding of electrical components and standards (e.g., breakers, contactors, relays, VFDs, safety devices).
Experience with low voltage system design and industrial control systems.
Familiarity with relevant US & EU electrical standards (IEC, UL, NFPA).
Strong attention to detail and documentation practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Fluency in English, knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
