Job DescriptionSenior IT Business Controller We are currently partnering with an organisation looking to appoint a Senior Business Controller (IT) to take ownership of financial operations across its technology function.In this position, you will play a key role in bringing structure and transparency to IT finances—overseeing budgeting, improving cost efficiency, and building robust financial processes that support long-term business objectives. Reporting into senior leadership and managing a small team, you’ll work cross-functionally with technology, finance, and procurement stakeholders to ensure financial alignment and accountability.Key responsibilities include:Leading the end-to-end budgeting cycle for the IT function, including forecasting, tracking actuals, and analysing variances to provide clear financial insightMonitoring spend across the department, identifying opportunities for optimisation, and ensuring disciplined cost management practicesSupporting the financial governance of IT initiatives, ensuring projects remain on track and within agreed budgetsManaging internal cost allocation processes and maintaining structured recharge mechanismsOverseeing both operational and capital expenditure, ensuring effective planning, control, and resource allocationProducing detailed financial reports for senior stakeholders, with actionable insights and recommendationsEnsuring compliance with internal financial policies and external regulatory requirementsPartnering closely with internal teams to align financial planning with broader organisational goalsActing as a key contact for procurement-related activities, including purchase processes and supplier coordinationProviding tools, guidance, and support to help non-finance stakeholders manage budgets effectivelyRequirementsIdeal candidate profile:Degree in finance, accounting, or a related disciplineSignificant experience in financial management, including several years in a senior IT-focused controlling roleStrong familiarity with financial systems and data analysis tools (e.G.
