Core responsibilities:
1. Writing, testing, and debugging code to build new software or enhance existing applications, based on designs created by software engineers or technical designers
2. Ensuring software quality through various testing methods, including unit tests, integration tests and support towards the regression, UAT and E2E testing
3. Identifying and resolving technical issues and bugs that arise during development or in production
4. Adhering to established software development and security practices (healthy coding, code review, healthy testing, healthy deployment) and guidelines within our client
5. Ensuring the security of software applications and development environments
6. Preparing software for release and managing the deployment process
7. Creating clear and concise documentation for the software, including design specifications and API documentation
You'll work 2-3 days on-site in Brussels, the remaining days working remotely.
Over jou
We're looking for an experienced Cobol/DB2 Developer with over 5 years of experience in creating designs and codes for backend software applications.
You can draw up the program structure and build the code based on the technical design, create and execute tests cases, and modify existing programs for production.
You are experienced in conducting self & peer code review, resolving assigned incidents and defects and in technical integration testing in relation with interfacing applications
You communicate fluently in English, good knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.
