Job Purpose
To enhance the reliability, availability, and maintainability of equipment and systems by applying engineering principles, data analysis, and proactive maintenance strategies. The Reliability Engineer ensures that plant assets operate efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and maintenance costs while maximizing production output and lifecycle value.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement reliability strategies to improve equipment uptime and reduce maintenance costs
* Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
* Monitor asset health using condition monitoring techniques such as vibration analysis, oil analysis, and thermography
* Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs
* Create and maintain reliability models, such as FMEAs (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance)
* Analyze performance data to identify trends, failure patterns, and areas for improvement
* Support capital projects by providing reliability input into design, commissioning, and startup
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reduce downtime
* Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations related to equipment operation and maintenance
* Train maintenance and operations staff on reliability best practices and tools
* Contribute to compliance of required audits (FSSC, ISO14001, BRC and similar) and the quality objectives, health and safety rules and instructions as well as environmental performance
* Using the company's guiding principles as a model
What We Expect From You
* Bachelor's or Master's degree electromechanics with extensive theoretical and practical knowledge
* Preferably 5 years of working experience manufacturing processes and familiar with the food industry considered beneficial
* Speaks fluently Dutch and English
* Analytical, hands on, Continuous Improvement Mindset, Adaptability, communication, persistent and cooperative team player
* You typically work during the day but are willing to be flexible
* The right hand of the Technical Engineering Manager and willing to replace them for shorter periods of time.
