Remote Cloud/Software Architect (IaaC - Java) – Freelance
A customer of ours in Aalst is looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to join their infrastructure and security team on a long-term freelance assignment.
They are in the process of modernizing their Azure cloud environment and strengthening their security posture across applications and services. This is a highly technical role with significant architectural responsibility in a mission-critical environment.
They have also rolled out the 2.0 version of their data platform, and need an architect to work on the maintenance/improvement. This role will involved much scripting in terraform, alongside helping out the Java teams with their projects.
Role:
* Design and implement scalable Azure infrastructure using Terraform and Kubernetes
* Build and manage AKS clusters and container registries with Docker and Helm
* Work with the Java team on their respective rollouts.
* Lead the security architecture domain, aligning with frameworks like TOGAF, SABSA, NIST
* Ensure compliance and high security standards across infrastructure and application layers
Requirements:
* 10+ years of total experience, including both cloud and software architecture
* Hands-on expertise in Terraform, Azure DevOps, Deep understanding of infrastructure-as-code and the software delivery lifecycle
* Java Development/Architecture experience a nice to have
