DESIGN ENGINEER - ANTWERP REGION (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITIONAbout the RoleWe're currently recruiting for a hands-on, detail-oriented Design Engineer to create practical and functional layouts for industrial systems and solutions. In this role, you’ll take concepts and requirements from project teams and turn them into clear, accurate 2D and 3D designs that guide manufacturing, installation, and operations. You’ll collaborate with project managers, engineers, and production teams to ensure layouts are efficient, safe, and optimized for real-world use. This role is ideal for someone with strong design and spatial skills who enjoys problem-solving and creating structured solutions, but you don’t need an engineering degree or prior “engineer” title to succeed. If you have experience with CAD tools and a passion for turning ideas into functional designs, this role gives you the opportunity to make a tangible impact on industrial projects.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop 2D and 3D layouts for industrial systems and equipmentCreate detailed drawings for manufacturing, installation, and customer approvalCollaborate with project managers, sales, and production teams to translate requirements into practical designsOptimize layouts for space efficiency, safety, and functionalityUpdate and revise drawings based on feedback and site constraintsMaintain organized documentation of drawings and revisionsEnsure designs align with project specifications and timelinesThe Tools & Softwares:Primary tool: Autodesk InventorOpen to candidates experienced in other CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, etc.)Ability to learn and adapt to new design software as neededThe Requirements:Experience creating technical drawings and layouts (industrial, mechanical, manufacturing, or similar fields)Strong spatial awareness and attention to detailAbility to understand technical requirements and convert them into practical designsComfortable working in 3D modeling environmentsGood communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teamsProblem-solving mindsetThe Offer:A permanent, full-time employment contractA salary & benefits package commensurate with experiencePlease send over your CV to tom.walker@vividresourcing.com or call me on +32 (0) 3 318 00 74.
